Scholarship Fund

The Landstar Scholarship Fund was established to recognize and reward outstanding undergraduate academic performance and civic involvement of children of Landstar employees and others affiliated with Landstar. Landstar Scholarship Fund recipients are well-rounded individuals who succeed both in and out of the classroom and whose qualities exemplify Landstar's determined commitment to excellence.

Eligible candidates must meet the following criteria:

1. Scholarships awarded by the Fund are available to children of business capacity owners (“BCOs”), sales agents and qualification center owners (collectively “Independent Contractors”) and employees of Independent Contractors under contract with Landstar or Landstar entities. Scholarships are available as well to children of full-time Landstar employees (other than officers). Scholarships are also available to children of Independent Contractors, their respective employees and full-time Landstar employees who died while under contract with or employed by Landstar or Landstar entities, as applicable.

2. To be eligible, candidates currently enrolled in high school must be planning to be enrolled full time (twelve or more credit-hours per semester) at an accredited two-or four-year college or university during the academic year for which the scholarship may be granted. Candidates must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.

3. To be eligible, candidates currently enrolled in an accredited two or four-year college or university must have successfully completed a minimum of twelve credit-hours prior to the application deadline. Candidates must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Candidates must be planning to be enrolled full time (twelve or more credit-hours per semester) at an accredited two-or four-year college or university during the academic year for which the scholarship may be granted.
