Landstar Roadstars and Million Mile Safe drivers are among the safest, most professional owner-operators in the industry. Each year Landstar inducts a new class of these “All-Stars,” all of whom have driven a minimum of a million consecutive without a preventable accident.
It goes without saying that these men and women are all extremely skilled drivers, who live and breathe safety when behind the wheel. They always travel at safe speeds, maintain a safe following distance and are acutely aware of their surroundings. Outside of these technical aspects of safe driving, each of the latest “All-Star” inductees also possesses a unique set of personal strategies, or “mottos,” that they live by both personally and professionally.
“I don’t want to hear excuses, I just want to see results,” says Million Miler Ward Allen.
“Discipline is remembering what you want,” said Million Miler John Broadis.
“I may not be the best at what I do, but I do my best at what I do,” says Roadstar Gerald Workman.
“It is not he who runs the race the fastest, but he who runs it the longest,” said Million Miler Don Chafins.
“Be professional, be courteous, be tolerant and plan ahead,” said Million Miler Morris Crawford.
“Take things one day at a time,” said Million Miler Kathy Harmon.
“Do unto to others as you would want them to do unto to you,” says Roadstar Bill Asberry.
“Always keep your word,” said Million Miler Richard Henderson.
