This exclusive event honors Landstar Roadstars and Million Miler Safe Drivers with a weekend full of activities including an induction ceremony, special guests and entertainment. Landstar Roadstar Ray Dillard, who is being inducted as a 4 Million Miler, calls his strategy for safe driving "reading the road."
"Over the years you learn to recognize situations that might be potentially troublesome,” says Dillard. “Whether it’s brake lights at night or a vehicle making an unusual move in traffic, I can usually spot trouble ahead and I’m ready for whatever the situation may be."
Dillard is the third Landstar BCO to reach 4 million miles. Jerry Travis, now retired, was recognized for the achievement in 2004 and Scotty Collett in 2005.
