Landstar Promotes Sentgerath to Director of System Development

February 23, 2000 Jacksonville, FL - Landstar System, Inc., a safety-first transportation services company, announced today the promotion of Robert Sentgerath to Director of System Development in the company's Information Services Department. In his new position, Sentgerath will manage the Information Services staff that develops and maintains Landstar's internal and external computer system. His primary responsibilities are Internet and Intranet development. He is also in charge of imaging solutions, and HELP Desk and technical writing groups.

After relocating from Germany to the United States, Sentgerath started as a consultant to Landstar in 1993. In 1998 he joined Landstar permanently as Manager of Systems Development, responsible for system development, documentation and imaging solutions. Sentgerath was instrumental in the company's Year 2000 compliance initiatives.
