Landstar Names Duke Jacksonville Service Center Employee of the Month

Jacksonville, Florida (NASDAQ-LSTR) Landstar System, Inc., a safety-first non-asset based provider of transportation capacity, has named Chris Duke September Employee of the Month at the company's Jacksonville, Florida, Service Center.

Duke, a sales administration supervisor in Landstar Carrier Services Sales and Marketing, assists independent Landstar agents in their bid to win freight contracts. Several agents noted Duke's professionalism, knowledge and knack for problem-solving in his nomination for the award.

Duke, who lives in Jacksonville with his wife, Daisha, and their son and daughter, joined Landstar in November 2000. He likes boating and fishing in his spare time.
