Jacksonville, Florida – (NASDAQ: LSTR) Landstar System, Inc., a safety-first non-asset-based provider of transportation capacity, announced today that Kevin Fletcher has joined Landstar Logistics as Vice President of Operations and the promotions of Lisa Pate to Landstar Logistics Vice President of Agency Development and Priscilla Miller to Landstar Logistics Vice President of Finance.
In his new position, Fletcher will be responsible for all facets of Landstar Logistics' daily operations, including vendor relationships, capacity expansion, warehousing and the coordination of bid processes and packaging of lanes among agents. He will also have responsibility for the technology services delivered through Landstar Logistics' ORBIT ® transportation management system, the company's proprietary logistics optimization software program.
"Kevin will be a great asset to our overall operation,” said Landstar Logistics President Jim Handoush. "His expertise in logistics operations and warehousing will enable us to provide more comprehensive supply chain solutions to our customers worldwide.”
Fletcher brings with him more than 20 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, including global air, LTL and package operations. Most recently he served as Director of Transportation at Menlo Worldwide Logistics, where he also held the position of Senior Logistics Manager. Fletcher earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Transportation and Distribution from Auburn University. Fletcher and his family are relocating to Jacksonville from Naperville, Illinois.
Handoush referred to the promotions of Lisa Pate to Landstar Logistics Vice President of Agency Development and Priscilla Miller to Landstar Logistics Vice President of Finance as well deserved. Pate joined Landstar in 1982 as a biller in the Revenue Processing department of Landstar Ranger before moving to Operations where she worked for 12 years serving in various positions, including terminal manager. She joined Landstar Logistics at its inception in 1995 as a manager in the administration area. She earned her certification as a Transportation Broker before moving on to Director of Quality Assurance and then of Agent Recruiting and Development.
"Lisa's experience and long-term commitment to Landstar are a reflection of her confidence in this company and her drive to help move us forward,” said Handoush.
Miller launched her Landstar career as Controller at Landstar Logistics in 1999. Prior to that, she served as Director of Accounting at Guaranty Reassurance Corporation after leaving an auditor position at KPMG. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting at the University of Florida and is a Certified Public Accountant.
"Priscilla's hard work and dedication have been a stabilizing force in the areas of accounting and finance,” said Handoush. "We are lucky to have Lisa and Priscilla on our team.”
