Landstar System, Inc., a worldwide, asset-light provider of integrated transportation management solutions delivering safe, specialized transportation services, has named Gena Shelain and Shannon Deal as Employees of the Month.
Gena Shelain works out of Landstar’s Rockford, Illinois service center as a Support Specialist on the Help Desk in the Information Services department. Shelain was nominated for her excellent customer service skills, courteous nature and for going above and beyond to help fellow Landstar employees.
Shannon Deal works out of Landstar’s Jacksonville, Florida service center as a Systems Engineer on the Web Operations team in the Information Services department. Shannon, who is referred to in her nomination as an “unsung hero of Landstar,” was named for her eagerness in providing assistance to Landstar employees, and for her consistently high productivity levels.
Landstar President and CEO Jim Gattoni commended Deal and Shelain for their dedication and excellent service to Landstar.
“Shannon and Gena both demonstrate a strong work ethic and expertise in their field. Landstar is fortunate to have them as part of our team,” said Gattoni.
