Landstar Names Barger Employee of the Month

Jacksonville, Florida (NASDAQ-LSTR) Landstar System, Inc., a safety-first non-asset based provider of transportation capacity, has named Jamie Barger January Employee of the Month at the company's Jacksonville, Florida, service center.

As a Programmer Analyst in the Information Services Advanced Technology department, Barger helps develop the web-based applications used by independent Landstar agents and business capacity owners (BCOs) to haul freight. He was nominated for his efforts to improve new software applications by eliciting feedback from agents and BCOs. Barger was instrumental in the user-application design of the newly launched LandstarBroker.com.

Barger joined Landstar in 2001. He lives in Jacksonville with his wife Charline and is a photography buff in his spare time.
