Jacksonville, Florida (NASDAQ-LSTR) Landstar System, Inc., a safety-first non-asset based provider of transportation capacity and logistics services, has named Peter Zegaib and Phay Saenbandith the April Employees of the Month at the company’s service centers in Jacksonville, Florida, and Rockford, Illinois, respectively.”
Zegaib, a recruiting and development coordinator in Agent Development for Landstar Global Logistics, has been with Landstar since April of 1994. He was Landstar’s Employee of the Year in 2000. Zegaib was nominated this year by a Landstar regional vice president for his excellent work ethic and ability to go the extra mile.
“Peter exemplifies what Landstar Global Logistics is all about,” said Lisa Pate, vice president of Agent Development for Landstar Global Logistics. “His customer service skills are superior and his desire to assist is evident by his actions to provide nothing less than the very best.”
Zegaib, a native of Brooklyn, New York, spent his formative years in Colorado, before moving to Jacksonville, about 15 years ago. He and his wife of 21 years, Pam, enjoy movies and outdoor activities such as hiking and biking. Zegaib is also an avid golf fan.
Saenbandith, a pricing coordinator in Sales Administration for the Landstar Carrier Group, has been with Landstar since May of 1995. She was nominated by an agent and her coworkers, who both commended her on customer service skills, “tremendous hustle” and pride in her work.
“Phay is a dedicated team player in Sales Administration,” said Bessie Alberty, a director in the Sales Administration department. “When the heat is on and the pressure builds up, she steps up and more than meets the challenge.”
Saenbandith is a native of the Rockford area and currently lives in Loves Park, Illinois, just outside Rockford. In her spare time, Saenbandith enjoys spending time with her two children, shopping and playing tennis.
Landstar President and CEO Henry Gerkens commended Zegaib and Saenbandith for their hard work and dedication.
