Landstar System, Inc., a worldwide, asset-light provider of integrated transportation management solutions delivering safe, specialized transportation services, has named Michael Sampson and Scott Lawless as Employees of the Month.
Michael Sampson is a transportation management system administrator in the business development and analysis department at the Jacksonville, Fla. service center. He has been with Landstar since April 2016. Sampson was nominated for his ability to achieve quick results and for his dedication to the creation and implementation of new processes and procedures designed to improve systems for Landstar agents and customers. He was praised for maintaining a positive attitude under tight deadlines.
Scott Lawless is a support specialist with the information services help desk at the company’s Rockford, Ill. service center. Lawless, who joined the Landstar family in September 2015, was nominated for his excellence in customer service. He received high praise from customers for his ability to engage customers in friendly and informative conversation while quickly addressing their issues.
Landstar President and CEO Jim Gattoni commended Sampson and Lawless for their contributions. “Michael and Scott are great examples of the many Landstar employees who are committed to teamwork and outstanding performance,” said Gattoni.
