Landstar Transportation Logistics Inc. has ranked fourth on the International Cranes and Specialized Transport (IC&ST) Transport 50 Index for 2023, the highest-ranking US-based company and up two positions from the 2022 index ranking. The 2023 index was announced in the publication’s August edition.

The Transport 50 Index has been published annually since 2004 and is determined by the total carrying capacity of all specialized transport equipment in a company’s fleet. The calculations are reported in metric tons according to two primary sections:

• Specialized trailers
• Modular trailers and self-propelled modular transporters (SPMT)

Landstar Transportation Logistics Inc. reported an increase of its capacity by 23,760 tons — or 31 percent — to a fleet total of 99,665 tons.
