Landstar was honored with a 2021 Excellence in Driver Safety Training Center Award by the National Safety Council (NSC) during the 2022 NSC Safety Congress & Expo in San Diego, California. NSC recognized Landstar for its online defensive and safe driving modules provided to independent owner-operators leased to the company.

Michael Slevin, Jr., supervisor at Landstar’s Field Operation Center in Mesa, Arizona, received the award on behalf of the company from NSC’s Ryan Pietzsch.

According to the NSC, the annual awards recognize excellence in advancing progress on the road to zero deaths by delivering defensive driving programs.
