During the 2026 BCO All-Star Celebration, Landstar introduced the Miles of Support Award, a new honor celebrating the family members and loved ones whose encouragement helps make safe operations possible across the Landstar network. The newly established Miles of Support Award recognizes those who play an important role behind the scenes in supporting Landstar’s business capacity owners (BCOs) and reinforcing the company’s Safety-First culture.

The inaugural recipient, Jo Yarbrough, has spent more than a decade helping make the All-Star Celebration a memorable experience for attendees. Often described as an unofficial ambassador of the event, Yarbrough has dedicated herself to welcoming new inductees, assisting with event activities, and creating a positive experience for BCOs and their families. She has also played a special role in Landstar’s truck giveaways, adding personal touches that make it even more meaningful for the new truck owners.

Her recognition shines a light on the countless family members whose encouragement, dedication and sacrifices contribute to the success and safety of Landstar's independent owner-operators and strengthen the network as a whole.

“Landstar’s BCOs, the agents and everyone throughout the network have been such an important part of my life,” Yarbrough said. “It’s a wonderful company to be involved with, and I feel truly blessed.”

Yarbrough said the recognition is especially meaningful because of the relationships she and her husband Earl Yarbrough — a longtime BCO and Landstar Field Safety Manager — have built throughout the Landstar network.

“My husband loves what he does, and we've been fortunate to be surrounded by such caring, supportive people,” she added. “This network has become a part of our lives, and I'm grateful every day to be a small part of it.”
