Landstar System, Inc. has been named Penske Logistics’ 2025 Carrier of the Year and also received the U.S. National Truckload Carrier award as part of Penske’s 2025 Supply Chain Management Carrier Awards. 

The awards were presented at Team Penske race headquarters in Mooresville, North Carolina. Honorees were selected using Penske Logistics’ enterprise scorecard, which evaluates carrier performance alongside customer, operations, and sourcing team feedback. 

“Congratulations to Landstar for being named Carrier of the Year,” said Tracy Urbanski, senior vice president of operations, supply chain management, Penske Logistics. “Landstar has proven to be an elite member of our carrier network. Our customers’ freight needs are in great hands with Landstar.” 

John Progar, Landstar’s Vice President of Automotive, credited the company’s network for the achievement. 

“We’re grateful to our network of independent agents, exclusive Landstar owner-operators and employees whose focus on safe, secure and service-driven execution helps keep our customers moving,” Progar said.
