A record-breaking crowd attended this year’s BCO Appreciation Days as the Landstar network came together to celebrate business capacity owners (BCOs) and recognize their commitment to safety, security, and service excellence.

Held during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, the two-day event welcomed nearly 900 BCOs, guests, agents, vendors, and employees. Attendees took part in breakout sessions, safety meetings, and a vendor expo showcasing products and services available through the Landstar Contractors’ Advantage Purchasing Program (LCAPP). Featured speakers included Katie Morton, Director of Compliance Programs for the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA), and Officer Kevin Vostinar of the Nevada Highway Patrol.

BCOs also took part in a Q&A session with members of Landstar’s leadership team and gained insights into the Company and the transportation industry. Landstar President and CEO Frank Lonegro thanked BCOs for the dedication, professionalism, and entrepreneurial spirit they bring to the Landstar network every day.

The event culminated with its most anticipated tradition, the Deliver to Win Truck Giveaway, where BCO Dean Webb was named the winner of a brand-new 2027 Freightliner Cascadia, becoming the 54th independent owner-operator to win a truck through one of Landstar’s truck giveaway programs.

In addition to celebrating the contributions of Landstar’s BCOs, the event raised nearly $9,400 for the BCO Benevolence Fund, reflecting attendees' generosity and support. The funds will help assist Landstar’s independent owner-operators facing hardship.
