2019 Overall M.U.S.T. Customer of the Year Award
Landstar presented the 2019 Overall Landstar M.U.S.T. Customer of the Year Award to Shape Technologies Group.
Landstar Transportation Logistics Vice President of Safety and Compliance Mike Cobb announced Shape Technologies as the overall winner. Also recognized was independent Landstar Agent Mike Nelson of Nelson Logistics Management LLC, the Landstar agency that provides the customer with transportation logistics services.
Landstar’s Mutual Understanding of Safety Together, or M.U.S.T., program involves an extensive on-site review of a customer’s facility, followed by discussion and analysis of safety and securement practices.
Nelson, who has an office on site at a Shape Technologies Group facility in Baxter Springs, Kansas, conducted M.U.S.T. customer visits with his customer to update and improve safety at the staging, loading and storage areas located at the customer’s facility.
“Together, Landstar and Shape Technologies Group worked to transform processes and create an off-site staging area for drivers, as well as dedicated loading, unloading and securement areas at the facility,” said Cobb. “The result is an improved process that supports our shared commitment to a safety-first culture.”
Two other companies also were awarded M.U.S.T. Customer of the Year and were in the
running for the 2019 Overall M.U.S.T. Customer of the Year Award.
