More than ever, women are looking to maximize their career potential in the transportation industry. In honor of International Women's Day, we spoke with several women entrepreneurs across Landstar’s network. 

Landstar welcomed U.S. Congressman John H. Rutherford of Florida’s 5th Congressional District for an interstate ride-along with a Landstar business capacity owner (BCO), followed by discussions with senior leadership about the transportation industry’s outlook and the vital role independent capacity providers play in sustaining the nation’s supply chain.

In this issue, you’ll see how agents and BCOs across the network are growing their businesses, leading with a safety-first mindset, keeping security top of mind, and delivering service excellence every day. It’s a snapshot of how the network continues to move forward together.

No matter the season, Landstar employees are dedicated to making a positive impact on their communities. During 2025, employees across the country supported a wide range of causes and charitable organizations, helping generate thousands of dollars, hundreds of boxes of donations and countless hours of service toward making a difference for their neighbors in need.

Laredo, Texas, along with over 4,600 other cemeteries across the county, commemorates its fallen veterans with a Wreaths Across America remembrance ceremony and wreath-laying event. Now in its fourth year, the city has BCO Bob Mead and his wife to thank for bringing the remembrance event to Laredo.

Landstar hosted its inaugural Women’s Leadership Forum at Jacksonville's headquarters — bringing together women from across the company for a conversation on leadership, confidence, and career growth.

From October 27 through November 21, Landstar employees united for our annual Thanksgiving Food Drive, supporting Feeding Northeast Florida.
