April 26, 2000 Jacksonville, FL - Landstar System, Inc., a safety-first transportation and information services company, today named Mike Cobb as Director of Safety. Cobb will oversee Loss Prevention and Safety Program Development for all of Landstar.
Cobb is returning to Landstar after serving two years as a safety director for Comcar Industries, Inc. Prior to that, Cobb spent seven years with Landstar subsidiary Landstar Ranger, most recently as Director of Safety Services. He started in the transportation industry as a dispatch supervisor. Cobb holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Chaminade University of Honolulu.

Cobb and his family will relocate to Jacksonville from Plant City, Florida.
